Miss Ladybug learns a valuable lesson this Spring. Read on to find out what it is.

Miss Ladybug's Rainy Day

Miss Ladybug loved Spring flowers just not the Spring showers. The rain had always made her wings soggy and her feet muddy. So, she decided to make her home in a cozy dry den surrounded by colorful wildflowers in little Sally's back yard.

She liked all wildflowers, but she loved the yellow dandelions the best! She'd pick a fresh bunch each and every morning to take back to her cozy dry den with her before the afternoon Spring showers began to fall.

One Spring morning, however, little Sally startled Miss Ladybug when she unexpectedly came running into the back yard. Miss Ladybug hid behind an old roller skate and dreadfully watched Sally gather all the wildflowers, even the yellow dandelions, into a basket then run back inside the house.

What will I do now?” Miss Ladybug sobbed. Her shiny spotted wings drooped, and her tiny hands covered her tear filled eyes as she made the journey back to her den empty handed.

What happened then was quite remarkable. It began to rain, but Miss Ladybug was too sad to notice. It wasn't until her wings got too heavy and her feet too muddy to carry on that she look upward. Then, she gasped with delight when she realized what was happening around her.

New wildflowers began to peeked through the moistened soil around her feet. Each wildflower stretching higher and farther than the other in a race to feel the rain on their new colorful petals.

Miss Ladybug was so happy that she didn't even mind her soggy wings and muddy feet. It was then she realized it was the rain that helped bring her new wildflowers to pick each day.

So, from that day forward Miss Ladybug welcomed the Spring rain. She no longer worried about the Spring showers and always took home a bigger brighter bunch of wildflowers than the day before, knowing that as longs as there were Spring showers, she'd always have her Spring flowers.
